Description:
The march Wind in May (Vento di Maggio) was composed to celebrate the famous 'Festa dei Ceri' in Gubbio (Umbria), one of the oldest Italian folklore display. This is a solemn act of devotion towards the city patron Saint Ubaldo. On 15th May, people carry three big candles (more than 3, 5 m high), running all around the town and up mountain. 'Wind in May' won the 2nd International Composition Contest for Marches, who took place in Gubbio in 2009.
