Here is one of the classic, early big band arrangements by Mary Lou Williams. Written for Andy Kirk's band in 1929, this arrangement helped to usher in the big band style. The arrangement is scored for 2 alto saxophones (alto 1 doubles clarinet), tenor saxophone, 2 trumpets, trombone, guitar (or banjo), piano, bass, and drums. Featured is a splendid piano solo presented here as-played by Mary Lou.
