Description:
This piece is inspired by a personal interpretation of the relationship with our divine origin. This work is characterized by the use of modal scales, secundal harmony, hemiolas, and 5/8 and 7/8 time signatures. This piece was awarded a first prize by a competition organized by The University of York, England and the York Minster. It was premiered by the York Minster's male choir. The musical example that can be heard on this page, is interpreted by the Chamber Choir of the University of Calgary, Canada, conducted by Janos Horvath.
