Three texts alternate. Except for the Alliuatic Antiphons, they are texts concerning the Mother of God, taken from Orthodox Services. The mood is of quiet ecstasy in praise of the Holy Mother of God, whose womb He made a throne, and whose belly He made more spacious than the Heavens.
Ideally the music is performed in a large acoustic hall, so that the echoes can be heard to die away in the commas between the various sections. The sound should be warm, rich and sonorous.
