Yellow Evening Sun, the third haiku of Scarecrow Songs, was written by Shoha and translated by Peter Beilenson in Haiku Harvest published by Peter Pauper Press. This two-part counterpoint mimics the mirror effect of the scarecrow's shadow while the instrumental accompaniment emphasises the movement of the daylight.
