Highland Cathedral is a well known and widely used melody in the Scottish Bagpipe tradition. The song is used in all kind of Scottish events, including weddings. I has even been proposed as the new Scottish national anthem.
Most people don't know that it has been written by two German composers for a German version of the 'Highland Games', a contest in traditional Scottish sports.
