Description:
This is a fast waltz featuring improvised solos for piano and alto saxophone. A lyrical melody is presented by trumpet and alto, followed by several interesting development sections which lead to a memorable full ensemble statement. This composition was recorded by Aaron Lington and Paul Tynan on their album Bicoastal Collective: Chapter One (OA2 Records 22051) and is dedicated to the members of the 2003-04 UNT 1 O'clock Lab Band. No doubles. Top note for lead trumpet is a C above the staff, and the top note for lead trombone is a Bb above the staff. A,T,B,2 Tpts, 1 Bone, G,P, B,& D. Medium difficult.
