A very unique jazz chorale approach to this Christmas chestnut. Trumpets begin on flugels and switch to trumpet midway through. Piano and bass parts are written out in an ostinato figure which develops with the drum part as the horns grow in intensity from a light beginning through to a dramatic, fully-voiced ending. Beautiful and interesting chord voicings. No improvised solos. Lead trumpet to written high 'D' (optional lower note provided). Medium.
