Description:
This Terry Gibbs/Shorty Rogers collaboration was first recorded live in 1961 and released on the Dream Band album titled Main Stem. Unlike other titles in the Dream Band library this is a straight forward big band arrangement with no vibraphone part other than a solo section. So, this is playable by a standard big band. Your piano player can take the solo (or any other added soloist). This chart moves between straight-ahead swing and a gospel rock feel. Ranges: Trumpets: G6,E6,D6,Bb5; Trombones 1 & 2: D5,C5.
