Description:
Med-fast swinger. First motif is a misplaced 12-bar blues with a minor 10 bar tag. Bari sax and trumpet ride over this progression. Horns-and-bass-only chorus gives way to a bass solo and the second motif, a heavy Vegas-style shout. Plenty of good stuff for your drummer to dig into. Lead trumpet has a few high Gs, and alto 2 has an optional piccolo/flute part; neither detail makes or breaks the chart, so play 'em if you got 'em! 5, 4, 4, P, B, D.
