Mambo Diablo is an up-tempo mambo written in 2-3 son clave with solo space for tenor saxophone and trumpet. Over an extended form and non-typical changes, your band will get get their hands dirty working up a modern Latin jazz chart that offers some unique challenges. This composition was commissioned by Greg Brown and the Northgate High School Jazz Band. No doubles are required of the saxophones. Top note for lead trumpet is a written high D, and top note for lead trombone is a written high Bb. 5/4/4/G/P/B/D. Medium Difficult.
