Description:
This is a lovely bolero. It is a tribute to my wife's mother who has passed away. This one is not difficult and only requires one fluegel for doubles. Fluegel and tenor are featured on the melody (Separately) during the first chorusus. Most of the first chorus is presented with a chorale. Near the end, the percussion and rhythm enter with the bolero rhythm to set up the trombone lead. Then, there are improvised solos for lead trombone and tenor. The final melody chorus gives the lead trumpet some spotlight in a gorgeous brass chorale that leads into the off-beat, but satisfying, coda. I am particularly pleased with the way the colors turned out with this one. Lead trumpet C. Optional bongos, vibes, guitar. Medium difficult.
