Description:
A moody, (not too slow) middle movement. Lots of space for solos and some exciting BGs and ensemble work. Sax doubles. Part 2 on 'No Passport Required' suite. Original Suite composed for trumpeter Kenny Wheeler and Ian McDougall and the BBC Big Band. Based on Ian's reminiscences of his time with the Johnny Dankworth Band in the early '60's (kind of a jazz duo concerto - can be played by any two solo instruments. Each of the three movements stands well on its own.)
