Bingo is wonderfully fun and quirky tune by New York based Matt Wilson. Based on the traditional children's song B-I-N-G-O. Matt commissioned this arrangement for a performance at the Univ. of Northern Iowa. Conceived primarily as a drum feature, it also includes an open free-bop solo for tenor sax and a trumpet solo over layered and compacting ensemble loops. This arrangement was designed to capture the zany antics of Matt's musical world and has been described as a 'rewarding challenge'--there are numerous meter-changes, high brass ranges, quick stylistic shifts, and highly contrapuntal fanfares.
