It is the intent of his number to use the various techniques of playing cymbals that the drummer would be called upon to perform in symphonic band or orchestra literature. Instruments: suspended cymbal on stand - size 18 to 22inches, pair of hand cymbals - size 15 to 17 inches, pair of hard felt or hard yarn-wound mallets, pair of soft felt of soft yarn-wound mallets, snare drum stick, a nickel, a brush. Performed with piano accompaniment.
